Growth Rate of Urban Areas

Pakistan is among the most urbanized countries in South Asia. The urban population is growing by 3% each year. It generates another query, as the population is rising, do urbanists face the same issues or not?

Before the answer, we have statistics from the State Bank of Pakistan about the shortage of 4.4M urban units in major cities in 2015. All this shows that major cities are loaded with low-quality housing societies and expensive as well. If the current trend continues, the shortage of units will increase to 78% by 2035.
